Get ready to have the beegeezies scared outta ya!
This coming Friday April 21st 2017 will see the release of Phoenix Forgotten. From the producing team of The Martian, Alien, Blade Runner, Immortals and 300, and the creative team behind the highly popular and sensational young-adult film franchise The Maze Runner comes a new endeavour in the horror/mystery canon.
Taking cues from The Blair Witch Project and 2015’s highly overlooked horror film The Gallows, Phoenix Forgotten is filmed in the same found-footage style format, making a seemingness fiction film seem all the more real, despite its complete lack of truth. Yes ladies and gentleman, this is a fiction film, NOT a documentary.
Here is the synopsis;
“20 years after three teenagers disappeared in the wake of mysterious lights appearing above Phoenix, Arizona, unseen footage from that night has been discovered, chronicling the final hours of their fateful expedition.”
Directed by first time feature length filmmaker Justin Barber, and written by T.S. Nowlin from all of the Maze Runner films, including the upcoming Pacific Rim: Uprising and the highly anticipated Godzilla Vs. Kong, the film is a new chapter in terror. Starring upcoming talent Florence Hartigan as Sophie, Luke Spencer Roberts (Hail, Caesar!), Matt Biedel and Justin Matthews, three friends will go on a journey, they might never tell!
